Unemployment In Bhutan

The predator ‘unemployment’ has conquer the soul of many graduates of Bhutan, some commit suicide and some are victimized by drugs, perhaps Bhutanese are weak to face the reality. There are many steps Bhutan should undergo to attain self-reliance so as the nation aims at.

Technologies has boost in a country and brought noticeable development under selfless monarchs. Democracy had germinated from the golden throne of monarch, trusting his subject and it is our responsibility not to let his majesty down with our failure. Bhutan should not be the host of any problem but the solution to every terrible thing happening in a nation.

Indeed unemployment problem is a nightmare for the graduates of Bhutan yet it can be solved with joint effort of citizens. Getting yourself into a secure job does not solves the problem, seating silently in the office does not solve the nation’s burden, even passing every semester you land up nowhere. Generation to generation Bhutan will be fertile land of unemployment and to cut off this problem no scientist will come out with a solution because it is a time we should boost our talent and compete in every field so as to develop like any other develop countries in the world.

To be more specific, computer science graduates are gradually increasing with time and adding numbers to jobless graduates. To my expectation, tomorrow when Bhutan become technologically sound where every works of life are done by technology there will place for us to accommodate. It’s very disturbing when people say that every people knows IT, society does not need IT students but I believe computer science is more than typing a mail and chatting. To be honest I am happy to know that every ministry of Bhutan has its own IT section to help their performance but only thing is they don’t need many. Will tomorrow bring Bhutan a new IT generation? Will Bhutan need rockets to launch with a single punch of keyboard? Can Bhutan develop artificial intelligence to foreshadow epidemics?  Will things become more of online than man’s effort? Will I die being jobless hopping for tomorrow to come? Every questions seems possible and with respective to the rapid development of nation, Bhutan going to be equipped with technology.

I like codding an application and I like playing with a machine yet will my luck favor me in the field where I am interested in? There are always complication between luck and where we want to be, and most of the time my quest get defeated by my luck. As Bhutanese saying “singye karm ghi aoum zho go bha lu ser ghi zang zho go”.
